Idle Speed: Adjustments

1. Disconnect and plug vacuum line at Sol-Vac actuator and disconnect wiring harness connector to holding solenoid.
2. Adjust slow idle speed to specifications by turning throttle stop screw.
3. Apply direct vacuum to Sol-Vac actuator, using a suitable vacuum pump. Adjust idle speed to specifications, Fig. 75, by turning screw on throttle
lever when plunger is fully extended.
4. Disconnect vacuum source from actuator and place A/C control in on position, if so equipped.
5. Connect battery voltage to terminal on holding solenoid, using a jumper wire.
NOTE: Throttle must be opened momentarily, by hand, to allow plunger to fully extend.
6. Idle speed should be within specifications, Fig. 75. If not, adjust by turning hex screw on Sol-Vac actuator.
7. Disconnect jumper wire and reconnect wiring harness connector to holding solenoid. Reconnect original vacuum hose to Sol-Vac actuator.
