9. On models with column shift automatic transmission, disconnect shift quadrant pointer control cable from shift bowl.
10. Remove toe plate attaching bolts from dash panel.
11. Remove bolts attaching steering column mounting bracket to column. Column mounting bracket bolts are metric and color coded blue for
identification.
12. Support steering column and remove nuts attaching steering column mounting bracket to instrument panel. Set bracket aside to protect breakaway
capsules.
13. Remove column assembly from vehicle. If intermediate shaft is to be removed from column, place alignment marks on column and shaft for
use during assembly.
