Camshaft: Service and Repair
1.
Remove cylinder head. Refer to ``Cylinder Head, Replace'' for procedure.
2.
Remove rocker arm assembly. Keep all rocker arm components in order they were removed from cylinder head for assembly reference.
3.
Remove camshaft front oil seal using a small pry tool. Use caution not to damage camshaft oil seal contact surface.
4.
Remove camshaft.
5.
Position replacement camshaft in cylinder head. Coat camshaft with suitable assembly lubricant prior to installation.
6.
Install rocker arm assembly.
7.
Install camshaft seal using tool Mot. 791-01.
8.
Install cylinder head.
