Route the bypass valve vacuum hose along the plastic hose trough assembly at the rear of the engine compartment (Figure 7).

Install the plastic vacuum tee at the end of the bypass valve vacuum hose between the cut ends of the throttle body vacuum hose (Figure 7).

Secure the vacuum hose to the plastic trough assembly using three (3) of the supplied tie straps (Figure 7).
24.
Secure the vacuum hose to the throttle cable using one (1) of the supplied tie straps (Figure 7).
25.
Reinstall the heated air tube.
B. Install Splash Shield (1988 Model Year Vehicles)
NOTE:
For 1989 model year vehicles, skip to Section C.

Remove the six (6) screws that secure the lower steering column trim panel to the instrument panel, then remove the lower trim panel.
2.
Remove and discard the under dash silencer pad (if equipped).
3.
Remove the front screw from the driver's side of the center console (Figure 8).
