Pull back retaining clip (F - Figure 4).
5.
Remove the plastic clamshell and open it.

Disconnect the ECU connector (C - Figure 5).
7.
Remove the ECU retaining nuts (H - Figure 5) and remove the ECU from the clamshell.
Installation
1.
Position the updated ECU into the clamshell and install the retaining nuts.
2.
Connect the ECU connector.
Note:
Disconnect the adaptive memory circuit on ECU P/N 7700 742 993 as explained in the attached adaptive memory circuit
procedure.
3.
Place the top half of the clamshell on the bottom half and secure the assembly in position with the retaining clip.
4.
Position the black plastic cover and secure it with the wing nut.
