Place a daub of red paint on the exposed end of the clamshell (J - Figure 6) to indicate that the ECU has been changed.

Connect the battery negative cable.

PARTS RETURN PROCEDURES
It is extremely important that all dealers send the ECU's removed directly to C.R.E.G. operations per the Mailgram instructions of July 20, 1987.
Securely package the ECU being returned in the cardboard box used for shipping the new ECU.

Parts Pricing
The dealer net price for the remanufactured and the updated ECU's will not be the same as the dealer net price for new ECU's. Be sure that the correct
price is submitted on the warranty invoice.
