Fuel Pump Relay: Description and Operation
This relay is located in the ECU housing on the left inner fender. The relay contacts are normally open, but close when the ECU provides a ground
path for the relay coil. When the relay contacts close, voltage is supplied to the injectors, idle speed regulator valve, EGR/canister purge solenoid and the
fuel pump through the fuel pump ballast resistor. During engine cranking, voltage is supplied through the ballast resistor bypass relay.
