Throttle Position Switch: Testing and Inspection
1. Disconnect switch electrical connector.
2. Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals as outlined in next step. Terminal identification is stamped on connector.
3. Measure resistance between terminals C and B, then between terminals B and A as follows:
a. With throttle fully closed, resistance should read zero ohms between terminals C and B, and infinity between terminals B and A.
b. With throttle partially opened, resistance should read infinity between terminals C and B and between terminals B and A.
c. With throttle fully open, resistance should read infinity between terminals C and B, and zero ohms between terminals B and A.

If resistance values are not as specified, adjust switch as follows:
a. Loosen the two switch attaching screws at both ends of switch.
b. Position switch as required until an audible click can be heard as throttle is moved toward open position.
c. Tighten attaching screws, then repeat steps 1 through 3.
