SAFETY RECALL - FUSE BLOCK WIRING TERMINAL
Dear Renault/Eagle Medallion Vehicle Owner:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Chrysler Corporation has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in some 1988 and 1989 model Medallion vehicles
equipped with air conditioning. The fuse holder for the air conditioner blower motor circuit may not clamp the fuse tightly enough to provide a good
electrical connection. This can increase electrical resistance, causing the fuse holder terminals and wiring to overheat. A loss of blower motor operation
may result. The overheating may also cause a fire to start in the instrument panel, which could be hazardous to vehicle occupants.
Your vehicle, identified on the enclosed form, is affected. For this reason we ask that you arrange for service to correct the condition without delay. The
service and required parts as described in this letter will be provided free of charge.
To ensure a proper electrical connection, your dealer will install a new fuse holder. The work will take about one-half hour to complete. However,
additional time may be required depending on how dealer appointments are scheduled and processed. To obtain this free service:

Contact your dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment for the repair.

Take the enclosed Owner Recall Notification Form with you at the time of your appointment and give it to your dealer. The form identifies the
vehicle and recall for which the service is required.
If you have any problem obtaining the needed correction, please contact the Chrysler Zone Service Office in your area (shown on the enclosed listing). A
Zone representative will arrange for prompt completion of the work on your vehicle.

This recall service requirement applies to all 1988 and 1989 model year Renault/Eagle Medallion vehicles equipped with air conditioning except
those already repaired under warranty using Technical Service Bulletin # 08-55-90.

To prevent possible over heating of the A/C blower motor circuit fuse holder, a new fuse holder must be installed, bypassing the original fuse block.
