Alignment: Service and Repair
Front Alignment Diagnosis

NOTE: The following information outlines the general causes of incorrect front alignment angles since caster/camber angles are not adjustable.

INCORRECT CASTER ANGLE

The possible cause(s) for incorrect caster angles are as follows:
1. Bent lower control arm.
2. Bent frame rails.
3. Bent or damaged body components.
4. Loose or worn lower control arm bushings.

INCORRECT CAMBER ANGLE

The possible cause(s) for incorrect camber angles are as follows:
1. Bent lower control arm.
2. Bent frame rails.
3. Bent or damaged body components.
4. Loose or worn lower ball joint.
5. Loose or worn lower control arm bushings.

TOE ANGLE INCORRECT BY MORE THAN 1/4 INCH (TOTAL TOE)

The possible cause(s) for incorrect toe angle exceeding 1/4 inch are as follows:
1. Bent or damaged steering knuckle.
2. Bent tie rod end.
3. Worn or loose tie rod end.
4. Worn or loose lower control arm bushings.
