Fuel Fill Door Release Cable

FUEL FILL DOOR RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL

1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
2. Open the trunk lid.
3. Remove carpet from the right side of the trunk.
4. Open fuel filler door.
5. Remove rivets holding fuel fill neck shroud to the body using a suitable drill.
6. Separate shroud from vehicle.
7. Remove nut holding cable assembly to the body.
8. Pull cable into the trunk.
9. Disengage cable from retaining clips.

10. Remove left front seat.
11. Remove rear seat cushion and back.
12. Remove screws holding bezel to hood/fuel door release handle at bottom of left door opening.
13. Pivot bezel away from lower trim and separate bezel from vehicle.
14. Remove screws holding lower trim molding to floor.
15. Separate lower trim molding from vehicle.
16. Disconnect cable end from fuel door release lever.
17. Remove tape holding cable casing to floor pan.
18. Separate cable assembly from vehicle.
19. Reverse the above procedure for installation.
