Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection
1. Disconnect the harness connector from the coolant temperature sensor.
2. Test the resistance of the sensor with a high impedance digital volt-ohmmeter. The resistance should be less than 1000 ohms with the engine warm.
Refer to specifications below. Replace the sensor if it is not within the range of resistance specified in the chart.
3. Test the resistance of the harness between ECU wire harness connector terminal C10 and the sensor connector terminal, and terminal D3 to the
sensor connector terminal. Repair the wire harness if the resistance is greater than one ohm.
