The electric cooling fan is controlled by a thermo sensor through the radiator fan relay. When coolant temperature reaches approximately 185 degrees
F, the thermo sensor contacts close, grounding the fan relay, which provides voltage to the fan motor.
When coolant temperature drops to approximately 171 degrees F, the thermo sensor contacts open, interrupting the fan relay ground and shutting off
the cooling fan.
