Shift Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Shift Cable Removal

1. Remove floor console.
2. Remove shift cables following the order shown.

INSPECTION

Check the select cable for function and for damage.

Check the shift cable for function and for damage.

^

Check the boot for damage.

^

Check each bushing for wear or abrasion, sticking, impeded action, and damage.
