5. On Laser, Stealth and 1994 Talon models, if endplay is less than 0.031 inch, endplay is satisfactory.
6. On Laser, Stealth and 1994 Talon models, if endplay exceeds 0.031 inch, remove driveshaft as described under "Driveshaft Replace, then check

torque of axle nut as follows:
a. On Laser and 1994 Talon models, 116-159 ft. lbs.
b. On Stealth less turbo, 137 ft. lbs.
c. On Stealth with turbo, 188-217 ft. lbs.

7. On Laser, Stealth and 1994 Talon models, if torque is within specification, replace wheel bearing.
8. On Colt Vista, Summit Wagon and 1995-96 Talon, if endplay is less than 0.002 inch, endplay is satisfactory.
9. On Colt Vista, Summit Wagon and 1995-96 Talon, if endplay exceeds 0.002 inch, replace rear wheel bearing.

Rear Wheel Bearing Rotation Sliding Resistance Check

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove driveshaft as described under "Driveshaft, Replace."
