Select Cable

PARTS 17,18 

1. Remove nuts shown in illustration from inside the passenger compartment, then pull out shift and select cables from engine compartment side.

INSTALLATION

Installation is the reverse of removal noting the following service points:

1. With the transaxle side select lever kept in the neutral position, move the transaxle side shift lever in the direction shown in the illustration to set it

in the 4th gear.

NOTE:  If the shift lever does not move smoothly, depress the clutch pedal while moving the lever.

2. Tilt the passenger compartment side shift lever in the direction shown in the illustration (4th gear) until the lever comes in contact with the stopper.
