Sliding side door cannot be opened from the inside, but can be opened from the outside.

DIAGNOSIS:

Before proceeding to the repair procedure, verify the condition.

Door Latch Connecting Rod Clip

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

Following the procedure outlined in the appropriate service manual, replace the door latch connecting rod clip with modified clip MU481239.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The sliding door may not open by either the inside or outside door handles.

DIAGNOSIS:

If the center pillar striker is not adjusted properly, excess opening effort may cause the latch linkage to disengage from their snaps and/or holders.
