Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
WARNING: Refer to Service Precautions for safety measures during this procedure.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On models less air bag, remove steering wheel horn pad, then remove steering wheel to column shaft nut.
3. On models with air bag, remove air bag module from steering wheel, then remove steering wheel to column shaft nut.
4. On all models, Use a suitable puller to remove steering wheel.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Torque steering wheel to column shaft attaching nut to 25 to 33 ft. lbs.
