Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
COIL SPRING REPLACE
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove stabilizer bar, support lower arm with suitable jack and remove lower shock mounting bolt and shock from
lower arm.
2. On AWD models, remove bolt attaching driveshaft to rear carrier, then hang shaft from vehicle with wire.
3. On models with ABS, remove speed sensor clamp bolt.
4. On all models, make mating marks on lower arm shaft assembly and crossmember, then loosen shaft assembly nut.
5. Lower rear end of lower arm, then remove coil spring.
6. Reverse procedure to install, ensure that both ends of coil spring are aligned with spring groove.
