REMOVAL 

1. Follow removal procedure outlined in the illustration, noting the following.

2. Use special tool to separate upper ball joint.

CAUTION: 
1. Use the special tool to loosen the tie rod end mounting nut. Only loosen the nut; do not remove it from the ball joint.
2. Support the special tool with a cord, etc. to prevent it from coming off.

INSPECTION 

-

Check the bushings for wear and deterioration.

-

Check the upper arm for bends or damage.

-

Check all bolts for condition and straightness.

INSTALLATION 

1. Follow removal procedure in reverse for installation, noting the following.
