Sunroof / Moonroof Cable: Adjustments
NOTE: The numbered call-outs in the following service procedure refer the numbered parts found in the exploded view diagram.
SUNROOF CABLE SYNCHRONIZATION
After cables, or mechanisms have been replaced both cables must be synchronized. If the cables are not synchronized the sunroof linkage will bin
could break the mechanism.
1. With the sunroof drive motor (48), glass panel (18), and left and right glass panel slides (13) removed, slowly push left and right cam slides (34)
rearward until they contact but do not disengage guide shoe assemblies (17).
2. Slowly pull forward left and right cam slides until their trailing edges are aligned with the front of the gate slots in the tracks. If one or both cam
slides are slid past the track gate slot while aligning, Step 2 must be repeated to ensure that proper slack is taken out of the cables. Otherwise,
timing will be off.
3. Install drive motor, glass panel slides, and glass panel.
