THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 05-13-94 DATED JUN. 17, 1994 WHICH SHOULD BE NOTED IN THE
1994 TSB BOUND BOOK (PUBLICATION NO. 81-699-95054). ALL REVISIONS ARE MARKED WITH **ASTERISKS**. THE POLICY AND
PROCEDURE HAS CHANGED FOR WARPED BRAKE DISCS (ROTORS).
MODELS:
1993 - 1995 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker
NOTE:
THIS TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN REFLECTS A WARRANTY POLICY CHANGE WHEN SERVICING THE FRONT BRAKE DISCS
(ROTORS) ON LH VEHICLES ONLY. THE POLICY IS TO REFACE AND NOT REPLACE, EXCEPT AS NOTED.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Brake discs (rotors) should be refaced for the following conditions:
1.
Deeply scored disc (rotor). Do not exceed minimum thickness.**
2.
Rust or lining deposits on disc (rotor).
**Brake discs (rotors) should be relaced on 1993-1994 Model Year vehicles only for the following conditions:**
**1. Brake pulsation.**
**2. Steering wheel oscillation when braking.**
**3. Brake roughness complaints caused by thickness variation (warped) brake disc (rotor).**
NOTE:
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REPLACE OR REFACE DISCS (ROTORS) WHEN NEW LININGS ARE INSTALLED.
REPLACING OR REFACING DISCS (ROTORS) WILL NOT FIX NOISE COMPLAINTS.
**REPLACE THE DISC (ROTOR) ONLY WHEN REFACING DOES NOT COMPLETELY CLEAN THE BRAKING SURFACE OR AS NOTED.**
**IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REPLACE THE BRAKE LININGS WHEN REPLACING THE DISCS (ROTORS) FOR A BRAKE PULSATION
PROBLEM IF THE LININGS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.**
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
**This bulletin involves refacing or replacing one or both front brake discs (rotors).**
**Reface or replace the front brake discs (rotors) as required using the procedures outlined in the 1993 Concorde/Intrepid/Vision Service Manual
(Publication No. 81-270-3140) page 5-46 or the 1994 Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker Service Manual (Publication No. 81-270-4140) page

NOTE:
WHEN REFACING A BRAKE DISC (ROTOR) THE REQUIRED 0.08 MM (0.003 IN.) DISC RUNOUT (TIR, TOTAL INDICATOR READING)
AND 0.013 MM (0.0005 IN.) THICKNESS VARIATION LIMITS MUST BE MAINTAINED.
POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
