Rear Door Window Regulator

Window Regulator

NOTE:  Power and manual door glass regulators are serviced using the same procedures.

REMOVAL

1. Remove door trim panel.
2. Separate glass from regulator roller channel.
3. Disconnect power window motor wire connector, if equipped.
4. Loosen screw holding regulator scissor channel to door panel.
5. Loosen bolt holding regulator support brace to door panel.
6. Separate screw and bolt heads from keyhole slots in door panel.
7. Loosen bolts holding regulator to door panel.
8. Separate regulator from door panel.
9. Slide regulator rearward and rotate forward end of roller channel through access hole in door panel.

INSTALLATION

1. Insert roller channel through access hole in door panel.
2. Insert bolt heads on regulator through key hold slots in door panel.
3. Tighten bolts to hold regulator to door panel.
4. Insert bolt heads on support brace and scissor channel into key hole slot on door panel.
5. Tighten bolt to hold regulator support brace to door panel.
6. Tighten screw to hold regulator scissor channel to door panel.
7. Engage power window motor wire connector, if equipped.
8. Install door glass.
9. Align glass and verify operation.

10. Install door trim panel.
