NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE MARCH 1, 1995 (MDH 03-O1-XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Click or clunk coming from the front hub area on acceleration or deceleration. This sound can also be heard during a garage shift, drive to reverse, or
reverse to drive.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves replacing both outer C/V joints.
1.
Remove both drive shafts as described on Pages 2-42 thru 2-43 of the 1995 Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker Service Manual
(Publication No. 81-270-5140).
2.
Remove large sealing boot retaining clamp from C/V joint with side cutter and discard.
3.
Remove small sealing boot retaining clamp on axle shaft with side cutter and discard.
4.
Separate sealing boot from C/V joint at large diameter and slide away from joint along axle shaft.
5.
Wipe grease from face of C/V inner race.
