ABS Light: Description and Operation
The amber ABS Warning Lamp is located in the message center. It is used to inform the driver that the ABS function has been turned off. The warning
lamp is controlled by the Controller Antilock Brakes CAB and/or the Main Relay through an in harness diode. The CAB controls the lamp by directly
grounding the circuit. The Main Relay passively grounds the ABS Warning Lamp circuit when it is de-energized.
CIRCUIT OPERATION
Power for the anti-lock lamp is provided on circuit G5. Ground for the lamp is controlled by the Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) on circuit
G19. When the CAB detects a problem in the system it grounds the G19 circuit.
