INSTALL 

1. Position the power steering oil cooler on the bumper reinforcement. Install the 1/4-20 bolts and nuts mounting the power steering oil cooler to the

bumper reinforcement. Tighten both bolts to a torque of 9 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).

2. Install the hose clamps on the power steering fluid hoses.
3. Install the power steering fluid hoses on the oil cooler.
4. Install the hose clamps on the power steering fluid hoses. Be sure clamps are installed on hoses past the upset beads on the power steering oil

cooler hose fittings.

5. Raise the vehicle to a point where the front tires are just off the ground.
6. Start the engine and let it run for a few seconds. Then turn the engine off.
7. Add power steering fluid to the reservoir as necessary to bring it up to the proper FULL level when cold. Repeat the above procedure until the

fluid level remains constant after running the engine.

8. Start the engine.
9. Slowly turn the steering wheel to the right and left, until lightly contacting the stops.

10. Turn off the engine. Check the fluid level and refill as required.
11. If the fluid is extremely foamy, allow the vehicle to stand a few minutes and repeat the above procedure.
