Vision V6-3.5L VIN F (1997)
CAUTION: Correct orientation of power steering pressure hose at power steering pump must be maintained. Be sure power steering hose is
installed in routing clip at generator, prior to tightening tube fitting. This will maintain required clearance between power steering pressure hose
and throttle body cam.
6. Install the power steering pressure hose in the outlet port of the power steering pump. Tighten the power steering fluid pressure hose fitting to a
torque of 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
7. Install serpentine accessory drive belt on engine.
8. Connect battery cable onto negative post on battery.
CAUTION: Do not use automatic transmission fluid in power steering system. Only use Mopar (R), Power Steering Fluid, or equivalent.
9. Fill the power steering pump reservoir to correct fluid level.
10. Start engine and turn steering wheel several times from stop to stop to bleed air from fluid in system. Stop engine, check fluid level, and inspect
system for leaks.
