LOCK - MANUAL - HIGH KEY EFFORTS OR OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE EFFORTS ON SLIDING DOOR
LIGHT TRUCK 1986 AEROSTAR
High key efforts or outside door handle efforts on the sliding door may be caused by a stiff toggle spring and a short rear latch actuator rod used on the
body side sliding door latch remote control. To correct this, install a new design toggle spring and rear latch actuator rod using the following service
procedure.
1.
Remove the sliding door trim panel (standard and/or deluxe series). Refer to the 1986 Aerostar Shop Manual, Section 72-25.
2.
Remove body side sliding door latch remote control assembly. Refer to tile 1986 Aerostar Shop Manual, Section 72-22.
