Measure the door flushness and margin at the rear of the door near the latch (Figure 1).

Visually inspect character lines at rear of door to see if they match the body. If necessary, adjust door height before beginning striker adjustment as
the striker adjustment must be coordinated with the door position.

Open the door using the inside and outside handles while noting operating efforts. If the sliding door will not open, refer to the "Latch Mechanism
Damaged" heading in this TSB article.
