Reinstall any interior trim previously removed. 

LATCH MECHANISM DAMAGED

Apply inward pressure at the rear of the door to reduce latch loads while a second person operates the inside and outside door handles. If the door
opens, refer to the "Adjustment" heading in this TSB article. If latch mechanism fails to release, continue with the following Steps 2-9.

Remove the door interior trim panel to gain access to the latch operating rod. Disconnect the operating rod from the remote control and operate the
rod fore/aft while inward pressure is applied to the rear of the door. If latch mechanism fails to release, the operating rod may have come
disengaged from the latch arm. Work a "slim jim" or similar tool into the rod operating cavity and attempt to push the latch operating arm
rearward. Refer to Figure 4. If the latch releases, proceed to Step 8. If not, continue with the following Steps.

Loosen the center roller mechanism to further reduce latch loading and operate the latch as outlined in Step 2. If the latch releases, proceed to Step
8. If not, continue with the following Steps.
