Removal and Installation
1.
Allow engine to cool. Following all safety precautions and using a thick cloth, turn the radiator cap slowly to the first stop. Step back while
pressure is released. When pressure has been released, tighten the radiator cap on the radiator.

Disconnect heater water hoses from the heater core using Heater Hose Disconnect Tool T85T-1 8539-AH as outlined. Plug heater water hoses.

In the passenger compartment, remove five screws attaching heater core to the heater air plenum chamber. See: Heating and Air
Conditioning/Housing Assembly HVAC Remove heater core.
4.
Pull heater core rearward and down, removing it from the heater air plenum chamber. Remove heater core case seal.
For installation, follow removal steps in reverse order. Make sure heater core and heater core case seal snaps into retainer bracket at top of heater core.
Check and add coolant. Check system for proper operation and coolant leaks.
