Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
Throttle Body and Upper Intake Manifold
Throttle Body and Upper Intake Manifold
Note: The throttle body (9E926) and upper intake manifold are combined in one piece.
Removal
1. Remove engine air cleaner intake tube and duct (9A673) between air cleaner and throttle body by loosening two clamps.
2. Remove fuel supply manifold shield (9J314) by removing three plastic push retainers which attach the fuel supply manifold shield to the power
steering pump bracket and accelerator cable bracket.
3. Mark and disconnect PCV hose and vacuum hoses at vacuum fittings on intake manifold.
4. Disconnect and remove accelerator and speed control cables from accelerator mounting bracket and throttle lever.
5. Remove generator brace (10B315).
