Blower Motor Switch, Rear

Removal and Installation

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove knob from lever by placing a small screwdriver between the knob spring retainer and the face of the bezel assembly. Apply pressure
on the knob spring retainer by pulling on the screwdriver and pull the knob from the lever.

3.

Remove three cross recessed screws from ashtray bezel; one exposed, two under ash receptacle cover.

4.

Remove receptacle bezel.

5.

Remove the wire harness hard shell connector from the heater blower motor switch by lifting the snap-lock retainer with a screwdriver and
pulling on the connector.

6.

Remove two washer head cross recessed screws which attach the heater blower motor switch to the bezel and remove the heater blower motor
switch.

For installation, follow removal steps in reverse order. Check operation by first placing front mounted control in the REAR CTRL position and
operating the heater blower motor switch.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module 
(PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
