Heater Water Hoses

SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL(S) REQUIRED

Quick Connect/Disconnect Heater Water Hose Couplings

1.

Drain the coolant from the cooling system.

2.

Disconnect heater water hoses by depressing plastic tabs using Heater Hose Disconnect Tool T85T-18539-AH, then pull on heater water hose
until plastic connector clears locking tabs. Remove tool and disconnect heater water hose.

3.

Repair heater water hose using one of the following procedures:

a. Cut out the damaged section and splice in a new heater water hose using a short piece of 15.875mm (5/8-inch) tubing and hose clamp.

b. If connector is broken or damaged, replace with connector assembly or subsequent parts as needed.

NOTE: All heater water hoses that are installed in service as replacement parts should be made with EPDM and NOMEX as their component
materials. Heater water hoses made from other materials may not be suitable for their particular application.
