ACCESSORY POWER CIRCUIT WIRING MODIFICATION
AFFECTED VEHICLES:
1992-1997 MODEL YEAR AEROSTAR
SERVICE PROCEDURES
Use the following Service Procedure to install a relay wiring harness into the ignition switch electrical connector. See Figure 1.

NOTE:
The following test will be a baseline for the verification test at the end of this Service Procedure (Step 33). Note whether or not the following
components are operational. Upon completion of the repair, operation (or non-operation) of the components should be unchanged. This test at
the conclusion of the service procedure will ensure the relay harness is installed properly.
Test the following components:

Turn blower motor to HIGH

Turn radio on
^
Check brake shift interlock system by trying to shift from Park to any other gear without depressing brake pedal

Record radio stations, then disconnect battery negative cable.
3.
Remove knee bolster.
