DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The overdrive one-way clutch locks in direction of engine rotation and the intermediate shaft. In opposite direction of engine rotation, the clutch
freewheels without the effect of engine braking.
With A4LD/4R44E/4R55E
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The overdrive clutch is engaged in 1st and 2nd gear with selector lever in position 1 and 2. It also engages the overdrive sun gear and the input with the
intermediate shaft. In this case, the O/D one-way clutch is engaged and on coasting engine braking takes place.
