4. Lift tool upward as far as it will go and note indicator reading. The indicator reading is the total end play which the turbine and stator share.

Replace the converter unit if the total end play exceeds the limits. Refer to Specifications at the end of this article. 

5. Loosen threaded inner post to free tool, and remove the tool from the torque converter.
