Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
1.
Relieve fuel system pressure as outlined in MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF, then disconnect battery ground
cable.
2.
On 1991-93 models, remove spark plugs.
3.
On all models, if lefthand manifold is to be removed, remove engine oil level indicator tube attaching nut, rotate tube tube from stud to remove.
4.
On 1990 models, remove power steering pump pressure and return hoses as required.
5.
Remove exhaust pipe to manifold attaching nuts.
6.
Remove exhaust manifold attaching nuts, then remove.
7.
Reverse procedure to install.
