1.

Start engine, center steering wheel, then shut ignition off to lock wheel.

2.

Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel assembly.

3.

Disconnect stabilizer bar link and shock absorber from lower control arm, Figs. 3 and 4.

Remove shock absorber upper retaining nut and washer, then the shock absorber.

5.

Disconnect center link from pitman arm, then compress coil spring using suitable tool.

6.

Loosen lower control arm pivot bolts, then remove cotter pin from lower ball joint retaining nut.

7.

Loosen ball joint retaining nut several turns, then disengage ball joint from spindle using suitable tool.

8.

Support lower control arm with suitable jack, remove ball joint retaining nut, then lower control arm and remove coil spring from vehicle.

9.

Reverse procedure to install. Tighten ball joint retaining nut to specifications and stabilizer bar link attaching nut to specifications. Lower vehicle
