Clutch Disc: Service and Repair
REMOVAL and INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect master cylinder from clutch pedal and dash panel, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove starter attaching bolts, then the starter.
3. Remove slave cylinder hydraulic tube then disconnect tube.
4. Remove transmission.
5. Scribe alignment marks on pressure plate and flywheel to aid reassembly.
6. Evenly loosen pressure plate attaching bolts until all spring tension is relieved.
7. Remove pressure plate attaching bolts, then the pressure plate and clutch disc.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. When installing pressure plate and clutch disc, align scribe marks on pressure plate and flywheel.
b. Install pressure plate attaching bolts, then diagonally torque all bolts to 15-25 lbs.
