CAUTION
THE TOOTHED HOOK MUST REST AGAINST THE LARGE TAB ON THE DRIVE BRACKET AS SHOWN FOR CORRECT LATCH
OPERATION.
7.
Align the holes in the hook, drive bracket and seat riser and push the shaft the rest of the way in.
8.
Install the hair pin cotter into the hole in the end of the shaft.
9.
Set the tension of the latch return springs as follows:

Push the end of the spring ("A" in Figure 7) down between the edge of the drive bracket and the seat riser. Then grip that end from above
and hook it over the rear edge of the seat riser (see large arrow in Figure 7).

Connect the second spring in the same manner.

Pull the other end of the spring ("B" in Figure 7) rearward and hook it around the rear of the latch hook.

Connect the second spring in the same manner.
