Heater Core: Service and Repair
Heater Core
1.
Drain cooling system.
2.
Disconnect hoses from heater core. Plug hoses and heater core to prevent contamination and spillage of coolant.
Standard heater core removal
3.
Working from inside passenger compartment, remove heater core access cover-to-plenum chamber attaching screws and the access cover, Fig. 23.
4.
Depress retainer clip at top of heater core, then pull heater core rearward with downward motion and remove from plenum chamber.
5.
Reverse procedure to install.
