Water Pump: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Drain the coolant. Detach the radiator lower hose and the heater return hose from the water pump.
Fan Clutch Tools
2. Remove fan and clutch assembly using Fan Clutch Pulley Holder T84T-6312-C and Fan clutch Nut Wrench T84T-6312-D or equivalents.
3. Loosen the alternator mounting bolts and remove the belt. Vehicles with A/C, remove alternator and bracket.
4. Remove the water pump pulley.
5. Remove the water pump assembly attaching bolts and remove water pump assembly.
