Refer to the attached transmission model chart and build date code (Figure 1). If the transmission model is listed and the transmission was built before
6/21/93, replace the 2-3 backout spring with a LIGHT BLUE (revised calibration) spring (F3TZ-7D230-B). Refer to Figure 2 for the 2-3 backout spring
location, and refer to the Aerostar/Ranger/Explorer Service Manual, section 07-01A for service details.
