Fuel Injector: Locations

REMOVAL

NOTE: Ensure ignition is in OFF position and fuel system is depressurized.
 1.

Disconnect electrical connectors from fuel injectors.

 2.

Disconnect connectors from main wiring harness and throttle position sensor, ACT sensor and air bypass valve.

 3.

Remove wiring assembly.

INSTALLATION

 1.

Position wiring harness alongside fuel injectors.

 2.

Snap electrical connectors into position on injectors.

 3.

Connect throttle position sensor, ACT sensor, air bypass valve and main harness connectors.

 4.

Verify that all electrical connectors are firmly seated.

Fuel Injector

 5.

Inspect injector o-rings (two per injector) for signs of deterioration. Replace as required.

CAUTION:

Do not attempt to clean the injector pintle or metering orifice with tools or brushes.
