Steering Column Lock: Service and Repair
Tilt Columns
REMOVAL
1.
Remove lock cylinder housing from steering column as described previously.
2.
Remove ignition switch, lock cylinder assembly and ignition lock drive gear.
3.
Slide actuator assembly out from rear track of lock cylinder housing.
4.
Remove lock pawl and spring.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install lock pawl and spring onto actuator assembly.
2.
Install actuator assembly into lock cylinder housing track.
3.
Install lock drive gear and lock cylinder assembly.
4.
Install ignition switch and lock cylinder housing onto steering column.
