Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
WARNING: On models with anti-lock brakes, the brake booster system must be depressurized before disconnecting any hydraulic lines or
fittings. Depressurize the system by pumping the brake pedal a minimum of 25 times with the ignition in the OFF position.
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire.
2. Remove brake pads.
3. Remove brake hose attaching bolt, then disconnect hose from caliper. Discard seal washers located between brake hose connection and caliper.
4. Remove caliper attaching bolts, then the caliper.
5. Remove anti-squeak caps.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Perform system brake bleeding procedures.
