Heater Core: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain the engine coolant.
2. Disconnect inlet and outlet heater hoses in engine compartment.
3. Remove instrument panel, then disconnect wiring harness and antenna from routing bracket on front of heater core case.
4. Loosen clamp securing evaporator register duct to heater core case.
5. Remove two retaining nuts from upper and lower right side of heater core case.
6. Remove lower left side nut, then disconnect heater core case from windshield defroster nozzle connectors and remove heater core case.

7. Remove four heater core cover seal screws and seal, then the heater core.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
