Fuel Tank Pressure Release Valve: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
This is a dual purpose valve that releases excessive fuel tank pressure to atmosphere and prevents vapors or liquid fuel escaping from EVAP hose
in event of rollover accident.
OPERATION
When upright, valve operates to allow tank pressure release at approximately 1.0 psi (7.0 kPa). When upside down, valve closes to prevent escape
of vapor or liquid fuel.
LOCATION
Behind trim panel inside vehicle, left side rear near fuel filler neck.
