b. Press the blue knob and disconnect the blue connector.
c. Disconnect the white ground electrical connector.
CAUTION: Do not pull the wiring when handling the passenger side air bag module.
WARNING: Always carry the passenger side air bag module with the deployment doors facing away from the body, in case of accidental
deployment. Always place the passenger side air bag module on the workbench with the deployment doors face up.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the four passenger side air bag module bolts to 9-12 Nm (80-91 lb in).
8. Verify that the air bag warning indicator is operative.
NOTE: When replacing an air bag module, a prepaid return postcard is provided with the replacement air bag module. The serial number for the
new part and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be recorded and sent to Ford Motor Company.
